Places of interest in Mexico

If you like to lie in the sun and read a good book, Mexico is a perfect holiday destination for its beautiful beaches and perfect weather, but if what you want is a country with many adventures and enjoy holidays practicing different sports like diving, kayaking, hiking, rafting and many others, as Mexico will not find another.

There are many destinations in Mexico where adventure sports. Here I tell you some of the most interesting destinations that can be combined with the beach and the sun:

Cancun

There are several places to swim with sharks in the Yucatan Peninsula, but around Cancun one has to choose. From whale sharks, which can perhaps be a bit excessive for some, cat sharks, in various enclaves like Isla Mujeres, but if the idea appeals to you can try to dive with them off the island of Holbox, north of Cancun.

Despite its huge size, these beautiful creatures do not attack the tourists. There are many tour operators that provide guidance to go see sharks, and once there you can decide whether to admire them from afar or jump into the water.

Another option is to drive your own speed boat (James Bond) by the channels of the lagoon. Where channels are just "Punta Nizuc," which is a section of reef in the world's largest coral. Here, if you like, you can enjoy the underwater world, snorkeling or diving.

Tulum

Tulum, located on the Yucatan peninsula, is one of my favorites. Combine the sun and the beach, with the most fabulous archaeological remains have ever seen in my life. But for moments of activity, you have at your disposal some who almost only be practiced in this part of the world.

The coasts of Mexico are sorprendentesLanzarse zip line is an amazing feeling, almost like flying. In Tulum, you can realize this fantasy flying through the treetops of the jungle, but what is unique here is that you can zip line down to the underground water caves or cenotes. A perfect activity for the whole family, as it is suitable for children and adults alike.

Mexico DF

The DF is a huge, noisy, difficult to navigate (as befits one of the largest cities in the world) city, but of course, what is missing is not a lot of fun and entertainment. You can see and few archaeological sites in the world at the National Museum of Anthropology, pyramids and of course, to the fun you find in a big city.

Returning to the adventure, one of the most recommended is rafting on the Usumacinta River, located south of Mexico City. The banks of this river are home to ancient lost cities, temples and lush green forests full of wild animals. The landscape itself and leaves you breathless, but down fast boat will cause an even greater adrenaline rush. Maybe it's not a bad idea to stay a couple of days to enjoy the river. It can be a perfect activity if you stay in some of the budget hotels that exist throughout the capital.

Veracruz

Located in the Gulf of Mexico, there are few places in the world where you can feel more at home than in Veracruz. The people are friendly and hospitable, and the weather is just delightful with average temperatures of 25C. The only danger that can happen is you want to live here.

If you are looking for paradise settings, you have the Tuxtlas Zone with cataracts Catemaco, an area surrounded by volcanoes, lakes, streams, canyons and spectacular forests where you will delight uniquely watching sunrises and sunsets.

Kayak Sailing on the rivers of Veracruz is a unique experience and if kayaking is not enough for you, you can try the descent so rapid rivers. Veracruz is definitely a paradise for adventure sports as it not only provides extreme water sports, it is possible to make very popular hiking and paragliding. There are also budget hotels in Veracruz, which is an added bonus to this exciting city.
